Domestic Violence Awareness
Alpha Chi Omega’s philanthropy is Domestic Violence Awareness and Sexual Assault Prevention. Here at Alpha Chi, we make sure to inform ourselves and others on how to prevent crimes of Domestic Violence and how to help those who have endured them. Through our annual softball tournament “Crack The Bat” and our "Healthy Relationships" week, we work hard to raise both money and awareness for our cause. In addition to our major events, we also table throughout the year on WMU’s campus and volunteer with local women’s and family shelters including the YWCA and The Caring Network.
ABOUT ALPHA CHI OMEGA:
Character, leadership ability, academic integrity, personal development, and financial responsibility are the values and standards that shape each member of Alpha Chi Omega. We pride ourselves in providing a welcoming and supportive environment that allows each member to flourish as the real, strong, woman she is.
From “Crack The Bat” in the fall, to “Healthy Relationships Week” in the spring, we focus our philanthropy on supporting the fight against domestic violence and sexual assault. We further cultivate a strong sisterhood by filling our weeks with various bonding activities. From movie nights in the living room, to trips to the orchard, we take every opportunity we can to strengthen our sisterhood in the bond of Alpha Chi Omega.
